I gave myself my own injection, which I am a nurse and accustomed to this. I went back to the fertility office the following day for my IUI. I followed the hcg levels with daily test strips and watched the hcg decrease in tone and then increase over the two weeks, I knew it must’ve worked but of course I waited for the blood work. It stimulated ovulation and we now have an 16 month old.

I gave this a three stars since I just received the shot two days ago but I will say I haven't had any of the side effects. I'm going to wait and do a pregnancy test in two weeks, that's when the HCG is out of my system and right before my period.

Not a fun injection, but necessary so that your doctor can control when you ovulate.

My nurse did my shot for me and it took 11 days to get out of my system - so don't be fooled by positives on pregnancy tests like I was.

Shot was fine. My husband did it for me. No effects that I could tell.
